Novomatic Novovision casino management system chosen by Estoril Sol in Portugal
Portugal’s operator Estoril Sol, SGPS, has chosen Novomatic’s NOVOVISION casino management system after a rigorous selection process. The system was first launched at Casino Lisboa at the end of November, and Casino Estoril is set to adopt it in the next phase during the first quarter of 2025.
Novomatic highlights that their system was preferred for enhancing customer service and guest convenience, promising to boost “operational efficiency, profitability and security” for the casinos.
Originally crafted for Novomatic’s own venues, the NOVOVISION system integrates state-of-the-art technologies to manage every aspect of casino operations comprehensively.
During the rollout, the NOVOVISION team customized the system to meet Estoril Sol’s unique needs, completing the first installation at Casino Lisboa within three weeks without disrupting casino operations.
Casino Lisboa offers a diverse gaming environment across three floors, featuring video slots and traditional games like Poker, Roulette, and Black Jack, along with the local favorite, French Bank. The venue also houses two restaurants and four bars.

Novomatic reports that “NOVOVISION was installed in Lisbon featuring nearly all of its modular functionalities, which span the full scope of business operations and the customer journey from start to finish.”
Upon their arrival, guests first interact with the system through the new NOVOVISION Self-Registration Terminals (SRT) and registration desks. Here, they undergo necessary KYC and GDPR checks and can opt for biometric registration or receive a QR code for entry through the NOVOVISION access gates.
The installation includes 634 electronic gaming machines and 27 live gaming tables equipped with biometric and facial recognition technologies. The integrated single wallet system simplifies transactions, enhances promotional point allocation, and offers additional loyalty benefits at the Promo Tower, while also providing real-time accounting and player tracking data.
Estoril Sol has fully embraced the biometric capabilities along with NOVOVISION BI, a staff app for smart notifications, and custom marketing and loyalty features.
